Bloom Research Inc. (BRI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the understanding and conservation of wildlife species and their habitats, with an emphasis on avifauna, specifically raptors [MK1] of the southwestern United States. BRI is committed to the development, implementation, and promotion of innovative scientific research and population monitoring to fill information gaps and demonstrate the effects of humanity’s advancing pressures on wildlife populations. Our original findings are presented in technical reports, scientific publications, and professional guidance documents.  Bloom Research, Inc. is a registered 501(C)(3) non-profit organization.

BRI has an immediate opening for an experienced Grant Writer with extensive knowledge in ecological research and conservation. The applicant must demonstrate success in obtaining funding for such research. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: preparation of LOI’s, proposals and grant applications; researching, identifying, developing and responding to public and private grant opportunities; managing grant calendar, application deadlines and funding details and collaborating with key BRI staff to identify funding sources to accomplish the key goals of the organization.

Qualified candidates should possess excellent writing, oral, computer (Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel), and database management skills. A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience related to grant writing or fund raising is required.

This is a flexible part time position. Compensation commensurate with experience.
