For the second presentation in the Consilience: Artist Presentation Initiative, BRI hosted Marina Moevs at Offramp Gallery in Pasadena on May 24, 2015.  The presentation was well attended, we even had some overflow, and we had a wonderful time seeing her paintings in person and hearing about how they come into focus.  Below is the presentation recorded with captions.  Simply click on the CC button to disable/ enable the subtitles.  

Bloom Research Inc. (BRI) hosted its second artist presentation under the Consilience; Artist Presentation Initiative. BRI presented artist Marina Moevs in Pasadena CA May 24, 2015. Moves spoke about her paintings, and the influence of science and the changing realities of the world have on her work.


  

CYNTHIA HOOPER 

The first in our presentation series, Consilience: Artist Presentation Initiative, artist Cynthia Hooper shared an excerpt from her latest project, A Negotiable Utopia: Humboldt Bay. Her 30 minute talk focused on conservation efforts underway in Humboldt Bay and the steps that are being taken to address the changing environmental landscape.  Below is the taped presentation in full and a link to the film that accompanied the talk.
